While the game is closed

When you come back, “Welcome back” shows what you earned — for up to 24 hours away:

• Money: your team keeps battling on the route you left on, at 50% of the normal money (from a town, Route 1 counts).
• Farm: berries keep growing, ripen and drop.
• Card packs: free packs keep arriving, up to your storage.

No EXP, no catches, no route defeats and no hatching happen while you’re away.

Background tabs (computer)

On a computer the game keeps playing in a background browser tab: every short pause the browser makes is played tick by tick, so battles, catches and eggs continue. Longer pauses (a sleeping laptop, more than 10 minutes) count as time away.

Phones

On phones and in the Android app, leaving the app counts as time away.

Your game lives on your account, so you can play on one device and continue on another.
