Battles and idle damage
Click damage, your team’s attack every second, and type matchups.
Two kinds of damage
Your taps. One tap (or click, or Space) hits for your click attack, up to 20 times a second:
click = floor((1 + Σ(1 + shiny))^1.4 × bonuses)
The sum runs over every Pokémon you own: each one adds 1, a shiny adds 2. With only your partner it’s 2; with 10 Pokémon it’s 28. Click damage ignores types. Bonuses: X Click (+50%), the Rocky Helmet Oak item and achievements.
Your team. Every Pokémon you own attacks once per second by itself — there’s no six-Pokémon party, the whole collection fights. Each one hits for its attack:
attack = floor((base attack × (1 + breeding bonus %) + Protein) × level / 100)
Types matter
Each attacker’s damage is multiplied by its type matchup against the enemy: max(m(a1,d1)·m(a1,d2), m(a2,d1)·m(a2,d2)), where a missing second type counts as the first. So against a single-type foe a super-effective attacker hits ×4 and a not-very-effective one ×0.25.
